VIENNA — Brook Williams and Dan Sawyer would like to announce their engagement.

Miss Williams, daughter of Alan and Donna Williams, grew up in Vienna. Mr. Sawyer, son of James and Ruth Sawyer grew up close by in Farmington Falls. However, they never crossed paths until this past New Year’s Eve, when two persistent and amazing friends set them up on a blind date.

Just this month, the future bridegroom proposed on a secluded beach at Peak’s Island, where Miss Williams happily accepted. The couple has yet to set a wedding date
