Up next: Proponents will be back with a formal presentation on Nov. 1. Board meetings start at 6:30 p.m.
Odds and ends
Issue: The field of police chief candidates started with 56 applicants. It has been narrowed to one person for the board to consider. No date has been picked for that introduction.
Issue: The budget process for 2013 starts next week.
Issue: The Androscoggin County commissioners are still weighing changes to E-911 dispatch services. Town Manager Andrew Gilmore said consolidating county services with Lewiston-Auburn 911 could mean Sabattus pays an additional $29,000 to $128,000. There’s more debate to come.
