CANTON — A mother and daughter involved in a two-vehicle accident early Friday night on Route 108 were taken by Med-Care Ambulance to a Lewiston hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Med-Care paramedic Glen Prescott said.

The accident happened at 6:14 p.m. at 374 Turner St., which is also Route 108.

Prescott, who declined to identify them, said they were in a car that came to rest in a ditch.

The two women got out of the vehicle on their own. He said the mother had what appeared to be a fractured leg, but he didn’t specify injuries to her 21-year-old daughter.

Prescott said the accident happened about a mile south of the Canton Fire Station.

Calls to the Maine State Police trooper who handled the accident were not returned by late Friday night.
