LEWISTON — Bradley Robert King, 84, of Greene, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Mechanic Falls, Aug. 5, 1927, to Grace Hartford and Edward J. King. Mr. King started out in construction working for his brother-in-law, Owen M. Taylor, then of Winthrop also for Herb Callahan, George Farris and Ed Hodgkin. From there, he moved with his wife, Joyce Taylor King to Prince Frederick, Md., to be near their only child, Dennis Bradley King, who worked at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant.

Mr. and Mrs. King were married in Auburn on March 31, 1951. In Maryland, Bradley was assistant road superintendent for Calvert county and retired there at the age of 70. B.J.’s home is in Whiteford, Md., and Erin lives in Rosedale, Md.

Mr. and Mrs. King decided it was time to return home to be near their families and dear friends in Maine about four years ago. Their home is in Greene, where Bradley loved and enjoyed every minute of taking pride in his lawns and working around the home he loved.

He also enjoyed his neighbors and good friends, Don and Donna Rose, Ed and Ester Rose, Lloyd and Linda Proctor and Don and Debbie. Mr. and Mrs. King left many friends and their home they enjoyed and loved in Maryland to return to their birth place in Maine.

Bradley enjoyed life with his wife, son and grandchildren and coming home to be near his families and friends and he is now and always will be loved and missed forever. Bradley and Joyce attended St. Francis Church in Greene.

Mr. King enjoyed good health and was very active until January of this year. He is and will be sadly missed.
