SOUTH PARIS — Tyyne E. (Waisanen) Fowler, 85, of South Paris died Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Greenwood, Feb. 17, 1926, the daughter of Matti Herman Waisanen and Aino Fredricka (Mustonen) Waisanen. She graduated from high school in Greenwood. She married Roy E. Fowler, they enjoyed 25 years of marriage before he passed away in December 2003.
She had been employed as a housekeeper and later at B.E. Cole Shoe and Miller Shoe in the office, from which she retired. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Finnish American Heritage Society in West Paris.
She is survived by two stepsons, Roger and Robert Fowler; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth LaRocque; two brothers, Vaino “Eddie” of Westbrook and Harold of South Paris; a niece, Debbie Dyer of Otisfield.
She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Martha; and five brothers, John, Toivo, Henry, Eino and Michael.
