FARMINGTON — Organizers of the Rangeley Fabulous Fall Finale that took place Oct. 22 and 23 have deemed it a success, raising more than $6,000 for the Healthy Community Coalition (HCC) of Greater Franklin County, an affiliate of Franklin Community Health Network (FCHN).

The HCC offers health screenings, health information, programs and events that prevent disease and improve quality of life. Its community outreach efforts appear in every town and corner of the region.

The fashion show and auction at Saddleback featured four seasons sporting attire and equipment, modeled by local personalities, and hosted by special guest Birdie Googins, the Marden’s lady. Auction items included a kayak, fishing rods, a complete snowmobile outfit, an autographed Wheaties box featuring Seth Wescott and a hiking ensemble.

“The weekend was a lot of fun and a fundraising success and I thank everyone who volunteered or donated items or services,” said Tom Hagerstrom, FCHN fund development director. “Plans are already underway for an even bigger and better event next year.”

The golf ball drop via helicopter took place on the final day at Evergreen Golf Club in Rangeley. Winners of the cash prizes were: Shirley Heutz, $300; Dennis Haszko, $200; and Tim Davis, $100.

The Organizing Committee was made up of Jenn and Chris Farmer, Judy Morton, Kate Williamson, Tina Marie Falasco, Caroline Bates, Ron Cullenberg, Heather Davis, Janis Walker, Julie Sexton and Tom Hagerstrom.
