SABATTUS — A Sangerville woman was sent to the hospital with minor injuries after her car rolled over on the turnpike north-bound Sunday at 2:45 p.m.

State Police Trooper Lee Vanadestine said Rebecca Merrick, 52, lost control of her vehicle, over-corrected, hit a guardrail and rolled her 2001 Ford Explorer. The black SUV came to rest on its roof in the roadway.

“She’s very lucky, for sure,” Vanadestine said.

No other cars or people were involved. The scene was cleared in about an hour. Traffic was able to pass.
