DRUMMONDVILLE, Canada — Mariette Y. Desmarais, 83, of 41 Sylvan Ave., Lewiston, died Sunday, Nov. 13, in Drummondville, Canada.
She was born in Auburn, April 1, 1928, the daughter of Eugene and Emeline Couturier Reny. Educated in Auburn schools, she worked at the Multi-Purpose Center cafeteria for Lewiston Senior Citizens for more than seven years and was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Cook and her husband, Paul, Constance Tardif and Jane Tardif; granddaughter, Violet R. Tanguay and fiance, John Cook; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Daniel and David Tanguay; and a sister, Muriel Boucher.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Bertrand A. Tardif, on Oct. 10, 1977; her second husband, Rosaire J. Desmarais, on Nov. 7; a sister, Rita Caron; and a brother, Laurier Reny.
