NORWAY — Geraldine T. Price, 65, of Oxford, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24. She left this world the way she lived, surrounded by family and friends.

Gerri was born in Woburn, Mass., on Sept. 23, 1946, the daughter of Myrtle (Morrill) Vilasi and Sebastian Vilasi. She was raised in Stoneham, Mass., where she attended school.

Gerri gave back to her community, working almost 20 years coordinating the Christmas for Kids program for Oxford County, enriching the lives of thousands of children. She was known for her generosity, humor and wit. Her ability to make those around her laugh was something we will miss forever. Christmas was an especially important time for her because she so enjoyed giving to others.

Gerri was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed her family most and welcomed any event that brought those she loved together.

Gerri was an avid Patriots fan and always enjoyed watching a good game. She also had a great love for the ocean and enjoyed many vacations on the water with her dear friends. Her close friends meant everything to her, including her dearest and best friend, Lois Hardy.

Gerri is survived by three children, Robert Price and his wife, Sandy Price, of Gilford, N.H., Debbie Laverdiere and her fiancé, Armand Norton, of South Paris, and Karen Gurney and her husband, Chris Gurney, of Minot; sisters, Ann Danzig of South Paris, and Marilyn Ford of Stoneham, Mass.; and friend, Lois Hardy, of Oxford; grandchildren, Nicole Laverdiere and Joshua Russell, Sydney Gurney, Alexis Laverdiere, Morgan Laverdiere, and Brayden Gurney; a great-grandchild, Anya Russell; a niece, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and many, many dear friends.

Gerri was predeceased by her parents, Myrtle and Sebastian Vilasi; a brother, Joseph Vilasi; and sisters, Mary and Carol Ann Vilasi.
