BUCKFIELD — The Oddfellow Theater will once again blend hilarious improvisations, audience participation and a touch of sweetness in its “Bah Hoonchbach — A Very Odd Christmas Carol” show.

Moto Hoonchbach, Fritz Grobe, Jason Tardy, Casey Turner, George Dunn and others will return for the sixth comedic retelling of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15-18.

Every show is different and is for all ages.

“This was quite simply the most entertaining and moving Christmas Carol I have ever seen on-stage. (And my wife and son agree.),” said Bates College Theater Director Paul Kuritz. “In fact, I haven’t seen anything as funny and moving as (Oddfellow owner Mike) Miclon’s Dickens classic since I saw Charles Ludlam’s ‘Camille’ in New York.”

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for children 12 and under. There will be a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday Dec. 17; tickets are $12, $10 and $8. For tickets, call 336-3306.

“Bah Hoonchbach” is part of Oddfellow Theater’s final season, which features a hand-picked selection of the most requested performances and concludes on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 30 and 31, with three farewell shows. For more information on the final shows, visit www.oddfellow.com.

Oddfellow Theater is on Route 117 in the downtown, next to Tilton’s Market.
