CLAREMONT, N.H. — Keith Ashley Plummer Sr., 81, of Case Hill Road in Claremont, N.H., died Thursday, Dec. 8, at his daughter’s home on Case Hill Road surrounded by loved ones.

He was born in Brunswick on July 21, 1930, the son of Russell and Drucilla (Goodwin) Plummer, and had resided in Claremont for the past five years. He lived in Rockwood from 1930 to 1935 and in Lisbon Falls for 71 years.

The thing that he enjoyed most was time with family. He was a longtime fan of singer/songwriter Tom T. Hall, and one of his final wishes was to meet him. Tom T. and his wife, Dixie, granted this wish last month, having Mr. Plummer visit their home and attend a Tom T. performance in Nashville.

Mr. Plummer was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Pejepscot Paper Co. in 1990, where he worked as a paper maker for 37 years and later worked for five years for Uni-First Corp. in South Portland.

Mr. Plummer was a member of the Coombs-Mountfort American Legion Post No. 158 in Lisbon, the Slovac Catholic Association of Lisbon Falls and the United Paper Workers Int. Union.

He was the widower of Lola (Turcotte) Plummer, whom he married on Oct. 9, 1953; she died in 2008.

The surviving family includes two daughters, Denise and her husband, Roland Cornish of Claremont, N.H., and Rebecca and her husband, Jeffrey Gracie of Washington; one son, Keith A. Plummer Jr. and his wife, Dawn of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; five granddaughters, Brandi and her husband, Will Douglass of Clarksville, Tenn., Hailie and her husband, Brian DeCelle of Claremont, N.H., Katie Plummer and fiance, Zachary Blair of Albany, N.Y., Meghan Small of Washington and Bridgette Plummer of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; three step-grandchildren, Sarah Cornish of Auburn, Joshua Cornish and his wife, Jennifer of Turner and Willie Cornish of Colorado; six great-grandchildren, Ben, Liam and Amelia Douglass, Aiden and Ruby DeCelle and Tyler Cornish; two sisters, Constance Holvey of Wooster, Ohio, and Claudia Plummer of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Russell Plummer and his partner, Edith and David Plummer and his wife, Janice, all of Lisbon; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Paul Turcotte and his wife, Jeanine of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Ronald Turcotte and his wife, Patricia of Lisbon Falls and Dennis Turcotte and his wife, Maureen of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; a sister, Corinne; and a brother, Thomas.
