LISBON — The Worumbo Chapter of the National Honor Society held an induction ceremony on Oct. 26 at Lisbon High School. Sixteen students from the classes of 2012 and 2013 were recognized by family, friends and faculty for their accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership and character.

The keynote speaker’s talk, prepared by Ron Hood from Big Brothers Big Sisters, was delivered by NHS adviser Lynne Gervais. Hood was unable to attend due to an emergency.

As NHS members, students will continue to demonstrate their commitment to helping others as they perform service projects throughout the year. A number of inductees are members of the Lisbon Young Adult Volunteer/Interact Club.
