LEWISTON — Douglass B. Greeley, 61, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 22, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Lewiston, April 27, 1950, son of the late Eugene and Doris Small Greeley. He was brought up in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1968. Doug then attended Central Maine Technical College and then served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was employed in the auto parts industry since he was 15 years old, working at Lee Auto Mall prior to his retirement.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, as well as going to some races. He loved to go camping, fishing and hunting with his family. He enjoyed attending his son’s high school hockey games, as well as his daughter’s cheering competitions when they were young. Doug enjoyed spending time with his family most, especially with his grandaughter, Alyssa.

He will be remembered as a caring, hard working man who took pride in his job, and his family.

Doug is survived by his longtime companion, Lisa Bunnell of Lewiston; a daughter, Monica Greeley of Lewiston; a son, Brian Greeley and his fiancee, Regan Dion, of Leeds; a sister, Susan Greeley of Auburn; and a granddaughter, Alyssa Greeley.

Doug was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Doris Greeley; and his late wife, Cindy Greeley.
