FARMINGTON — Police say a homeowner interrupted a burglary at a Morgan Lane house Wednesday afternoon and the intruders ran out the back door.

The thieves were stealing jewelry when the homeowner pulled into the driveway, Farmington Police Detective Marc Bowering said.

Jewelry valued at less than $200 and some collectible coins valued at less than $50 were taken, he said. Some of the jewelry was recovered in Chesterville, Bowering said Friday.

He and Franklin County Sheriff Department’s Detective Tom White have been working on the case and arrests are expected soon, he said.

Morgan Lane is off Barker Road.
