A Mass of Christian Burial for William J. “Baldy” Cunningham of Rumford was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius – St. John Church in Rumford with the Rev. Phil Tracy as the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar assistant. Readings were given by Lani Bisson and Sandy Conley. Presenting the offertory gifts were Marie Curato and Gloria Aron. Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections included “Hosea,” “Because the Lord Is My Shepherd,” “Ave Maria,” “O Holy Night” and “How Great Thou Art.” Pallbearers were Dane Curato, Jeff Bisson, Mike Aron, Frank DiConzo, Jeremy Myles and Al Breton. Interment in the spring will be in St John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception was held in the church hall after the funeral. Arrangements under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
