LOVELL — A 30-year-old Norway man was killed Sunday morning when the van he was in skidded on an icy Shave Hill Road, rolled over and struck a utility pole.
Eric Blades was pronounced dead at the scene of the 10:35 a.m. crash, according to a news release from the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department.
Katrina Alberry of Norway was driving the 2003 Dodge Caravan west on Shave Hill Road when it went out of control on a curve, rolled over and hit the pole.
Alberry, another adult and two young children were in the van, but none suffered serious injury, according to the release.
State police reconstructionist Dan Hanson assisted Oxford County Deputy Chris Davis at the scene, and Lovell Fire Department and several rescue units also were on the scene.
