JAY — A Mass of Christian Burial for Frances Theresa (Pineau) Simoneau of Jay was held Wednesday from St. Rose of Lima Church, Jay, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin officiating, preceded by a prayer service at Wiles Remembrance Center. Members of the VFW Auxiliary lead the procession. The resurrection choir was under the direction of church organist, Therese Therrien. Donald LeSuer, soloist, sang “Ave Maria.” The gifts were presented by her son and daughter-in-law, Jaye and Tina Simoneau; the first reading was recited by grandson, Tom Power and grandson, Andrew SImoneau recited the second reading. Her daughter, Brenda Romano, wrote a eulogy that was delivered by grandson, Jesse Simoneau. Pallbearers were Corey Blanchard, Jamie Blanchard, Jesse SImoneau, Andrew SImoneau, Brady Romano and Jeff Phelan. Following Mass, the family welcomed those present to a family reception at the Simoneau home. Burial was at the New Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
