NORTH MONMOUTH — Richard S. Blake, 60, a resident of Wilson Pond Road, North Monmouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 7.

He was born in Boston, Mass., on May 30, 1951, the son of Winston P. and Roberta Morison Blake.

He attended Melrose high school in Melrose, Mass., and graduated in 1969. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked as a carpenter most of his life. He enjoyed camping, visiting the Moosehead region, loved trains, NASCAR, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, boating, but most of all, he enjoyed his family.

He is survived by a son, Richard P. Blake and his wife, Natalie, of Winthrop; a daughter, Kristen Bergeron and her husband, Kevin, of Leeds; a sister, Barbara Sanborn and her husband, Douglas, of Groveland, Mass.; a half sister, Patricia Jerman of Carson City, Nev.; a granddaughter, Ashley Bergeron; a niece, Julie Grassia and her husband, Michael; and a nephew, Kelvin Sanborn and his wife, Eva.

He was predeceased by his parents, Winston P. Blake and Roberta Morison Blake; and a half brother, Robert Blake.
