STAFFORD, Conn. — Anita Joline Durant, 79, widow of John R. Durant, entered into eternal peace Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Johnson Memorial Medical Center.

Anita was born in Lewiston, the daughter of the late Donozor and Lillian (Marcoux) Dupont. She had lived in Hartford between 1954 to 1995, before moving to Stafford Springs.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann McCallister and her husband, Clinton, of Stafford Springs; two sisters, Patricia Dupont of Medway and Marie Bernatchez of Auburn; two grandchildren, Pamela Jeanne Reyes of Ellington and Kelly Ann McCallister of Stafford Springs; nieces and nephews in Maine, South Carolina and Nova Scotia; along with many in-laws in Nova Scotia.
