AUBURN — Emily D. Ouellette, 90, formerly of 10 Wildwood Drive, Lewiston, died peacefully Sunday, Jan. 8, surrounded by her family at the Hospice House.
She was born April 5, 1921, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Felix and Flavie Saucier Dumond. She married Berthold J. Ouellette on June 18, 1940. They were married for 47 years until his passing on June 21, 1987. She most enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Ray and husband, Eddie, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Gail Boucher and husband, Richard, of Lewiston and Mrs. Kathleen Custeau and husband, James, of Auburn; three sons, Jeffrey Ouellette and wife, Virginia, of Manchester, Conn., Gregory Ouellette of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Daniel Ouellette of Hartford; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Berthold; her son, Gary J. Ouellette Sr.; four brothers, Hypolite, Eddie, Aurelle and Elbridge “Pat” Dumond; and five sisters, Mamie Dubois, Lydie Pelletier, Hattie Roy, Clothilde Marie Theriault and Cecile Doustou.
The family would like to thank the staff of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Russell Park Rehabilitation and Living Center for their compassionate care and attention to her comfort. The family would also like to give a very special thank-you to ZamZam Mohamud for all her love and support.
