LEWISTON — Lewiston native and Navy veteran Don Robitaille will take his audience on a cross-country adventure from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at the Auburn Public Library. Robitaille will share stories from his bike trip across the United States.
Since retiring more than 20 years ago, Robitaille has cycled more than 100,000 miles all over the eastern seaboard as well as the Maritime Provinces. He averages 20 miles daily and cross-country skies in the winter.
In addition to his first trip, he will talk about his most recent trip from Florida to Comfort, Texas, where he had to abort his trek due to injury.
If the program is canceled due to weather, the event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26.
