WILTON – Police have identified the second victim from a fatal crash on Routes 2 and 4 Monday afternoon which killed two of five people involved.

A Jay man, Joseph Breton, 36, was driving a 2004 Sebring and was deceased at the scene of the 4 p.m. accident, Police Chief Heidi Wilcox said.  Police held his identity Monday night pending notification of his family.

A Farmington woman, Meta Sevigny, 80, was also deceased at the scene. She was riding in a 2000 Ford Ranger truck driven by David Miller, 44, of Wilton. Miller was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar ambulance.

A passenger with Breton was also injured and also taken to FMH, Wilcox said early Tuesday.

The driver of the third vehicle, Thomas Lake, 50, of Jay was not injured.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, she said. An update from the chief is expected later today.
