Professionals Moving Ahead! meets on the second and fourth Tuesday each month from 2-5 p.m. Network with other job seekers, professionals, and business leaders in the community. Presenters cover professional development and job search strategies. On Feb. 14 discussion will be on  LinkedIn and transferable skills. Patrick Therrien, Maine State Library, and CareerCenter staff will lead the discussion. On Feb. 28, there will be further discussion on transferable skills and conversation with employers — conversation points, spoken and written — to use to ensure employers know exactly how prospective employees meet their needs based on their ads and job descriptions.

Aging Worker Initiative, offered Feb. 13 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The AWI connects aging workers (55 and older) with viable employment and training opportunities in the fields of health care, green energy and technology. Call 753-9005 to register.
