LEWISTON — Doris O. Labbe, 88, of Auburn, died Friday, Jan. 26, after a brief stay at d’Youville Pavilion Rehab Center.

She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 15, 1923, a daughter of the late Demetrius and Marie (Robitaille) Ouellette. She was educated in local schools.

Doris married the love of her life, Leo D. Labbe, in 1946. She worked for more than 43 years at Bates Mill as a stitcher. She was a member of Holy Cross Church. Doris enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and going out to eat. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

She leaves two sons, Maurice Labbe, and his wife, Jane, of Frederick, Md., and Marc Labbe of Auburn; a son-in-law, Bert Levesque, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; six  grandchildren, Bert Levesque of California, Karyn Levesque of California, Karla Brior of Colorado, Steven Levesque of California, Michael Labbe of Massachusetts, and Laura Czarnecki of Maryland; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; her daughter, Louise Levesque; and all of her siblings.
