RUMFORD — Patricia E. “Patty” Thibodeau, 76, of River Road, Mexico, died Saturday, Jan. 28, at Rumford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Roxbury, a daughter of Louis and Emma (Noble) Touchette.

Patricia married Joseph B. Thibodeau on Sept. 4, 1956; together they celebrated 55 years of marriage and raised six children.

She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, Joe, playing beano, reading, doing crossword puzzles and listening to country music. She was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior.

Patricia also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Joseph B. Thibodeau, of Mexico; her children, Sheryl O’Leary and husband, John, of Rumford, William F. Thibodeau, Jackie Waugh of Dallas, Texas, Joseph Thibodeau and wife, Paula, of Auburn, Julie Gaudet and husband, Wayne, of Vermont, and Bernie Thibodeau and wife, Rebecca, of Rumford; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gloria Hamel of Roxbury, Linda White and her companion, David McDonald, of Mexico, Kathy Talbot and husband, Stephen, of North Turner, and Rosanna Seigle and husband, Richard, of Rumford; and six brothers, Gordon Touchette and wife, Mary, of Roxbury, Donald Touchette and wife, Eleanor, of Rumford, Robert Touchette and wife, Edna, of Holliston, Mass., David Touchette of Roxbury, Michael Touchette of Roxbury, and Gary Touchette of Mexico.

She was predeceased by her parents; five brothers, Douglas Touchette, James Touchette, Andrew Touchette, Dennis Touchette and Louis Touchette Jr.; and a great-grandson, Lucas Vining.
