FARMINGTON — Franklin Savings Bank has named Catherine Dorion as its new loan officer at the bank’s River Valley branches in Rumford and Mexico.

Dorion comes to FSB from KeyBank, where she served as branch manager for 11 years. Prior to that, she was an assistant vice president and branch manager at Norway Savings Bank in Freeport. She has been in the banking industry since 1990.

Dorion grew up in Rumford. An active member of the River Valley Community, Dorion is a board member of the River Valley Growth Council and the Dixfield Finance Committee. She is past president and board member of the River Valley Chamber of Commerce and former member of the March of Dimes Mountain Valley Walk Committee, Freeport Merchants Association Events Committee and Rotary International in Rumford. She has also served as a loaned executive and campaign division captain with the United Way.

Dorion is a licensed life and health insurance producer and attended the Northern New England School of Banking in 2007. She earned an associate degree from Mid-State College in Auburn and is a graduate of Rumford High School, where she was active in varsity field hockey, the yearbook and Future Business Leaders of America.
