“Meet Your Farmers and Fishermen” and get your share of the Maine harvest at a celebration of community supported agriculture and fisheries in your community between Friday and Sunday, Feb. 24 and 26.

In the “community supported” model of local foods purchasing, a customer commits to buying a share of the coming harvest before the season begins. Customers provide operating support to local farms and fishermen while getting locally grown and harvested food directly from the producer at a fair price.

Each of the 15 fair locations statewide give instructions about buying shares, acquaint buyers with local seasonal foods and introduce local farmers and fishermen. Fisheries may not be represented in all locations.

“Meet Your Farmers and Fishermen: a celebration of Community Supported Agriculture and Fisheries” will take place the weekend of Feb. 24-26 at the following days, times and locations:

Auburn: 4:30-6:30 p.m., Friday Feb. 24, Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.

Brunswick: 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 27 Pleasant St.
