BUCKFIELD — Selectmen are looking for a few dedicated residents to serve on several municipal committees.

With discussion on whether to hire a full-time or part-time town manager, or a manager who would combine the duties of running the highway department as well as the town, two volunteers are needed to serve on the Road Committee. There are three on the committee now.

Terms could be for one, two or three years.

The Planning Board is in need of three regular members and two alternates. The terms would be for up to five years.

The town’s Recreation Committee has openings for four members, which would make this a seven-member committee. Terms would also be for up to three years.

All of the above committees generally meet once a month at the Town Office.

On the Board of Appeals, three residents are needed to complete the five-member committee. The board meets as needed. Terms are for up to three years.

Anyone interested in any of these volunteer openings may call the town office at 336-2521.
