BRUNSWICK — Greely won its third consecutive Class B boys’ state swimming championship with relative ease on Monday, lapping the nearest competition by 132 points.

The Rangers tallied 386 points, followed by Belfast with 256. Mount Desert Island (217), Waterville (186) and Ellsworth (171) rounded out the top five.

Ryan Robitaille of St. Dom’s finished third in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.27 seconds. Robitaille finished ninth overall in the 200 yard freestyle, winning the consolation final in 28.92 seconds.

Michael Dempski of St. Dom’s placed 13th in the 100 yard backstroke.

Greely won four of the 12 events. Dan Spencer won the 50 and 100 yard freestyle.

The Rangers also took the 200 yard medley and 400 yard freestyle relays.

Cameron Fadley of Foxcroft Academy won the 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard backstroke.

Keith Chandler of Ellsworth won the 100 yard butterfly and 100 yard backstroke.

Falmouth won two individual titles. Ryan Conley won the one meter diving competition. Jake Perron won the 500 yard freestyle. MDI won the 200 yard freestyle relay.
