AUBURN — Central Maine Orthopaedics’ physician assistants Aaron Copeland, PA-C, and Mindy Pomerleau, PA-C, are available for patient consultations at the Minot Avenue practice.

Copeland joined CMO in the summer of 2010. He received his bachelor of science degree in athletic training in 2005 from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and completed an Athletic Training Fellowship at the New Hampshire Musculoskeletal Institute in 2006. He later worked in various high schools in Pennsylvania as an athletic trainer.

In May 2010, he received his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of New England, where he also served as class president. Prior to joining Central Maine Orthopaedics, Copeland completed his clinical rotations at a number of health care facilities in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

A Susquehanna, Pa., native, Copeland currently resides in Portland.

Pomerleau joined the CMO clinical staff in the spring of 2011. Prior to joining CMO, she worked at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon, N.H. She earned her undergraduate degree in sports medicine at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass., and has a master of science degree in physician assistant studies from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Ariz. She has a master of science degree in nutrition and health promotion from Simmons College in Boston.

Pomerleau worked in Tallahassee, Fla., in both orthopedics (Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic) and plastic surgery (Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Center).

A Vassalboro native, Pomerleau resides in Lewiston.

Both Copeland and Pomerleau are members of the National Commission of Certified Physician Assistants and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification.
