FARMINGTON — Jennie M. Mercier, 95, a resident of Park Street, Livermore Falls, died Sunday afternoon, Feb. 26, at Sandy River Center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1916, in Three Rivers, Quebec, the daughter of Chester and Josephine Lehaie Judd. She attended school in Livermore Falls.

On June 28, 1936, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married her husband of 58 years, Henry A. Mercier. He passed away Dec. 11, 1994. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. Jennie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she enjoyed caring for her family. She also enjoyed music, cooking and sewing.

She is survived by her children, Richard Mercier and his wife, Barbara, of Edgecomb; Robert Mercier and his wife, Bonnie, of Mt. Airy, N.C., Maurice Mercier and his wife, Gabi, of Wilmington, N.C., Elaine Dolley of Augusta, and Bruce Mercier of Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Lauzier and Noella Mercier, both of Livermore, Theresa Bilodeau of Livermore Falls and Marie Castonguay of Monmouth.

She was predeceased by her husband; her infant son, Gary Mercier; brothers, Tom, Archie, Henry and Albert Judd; and her sisters, Rose Belanger, Blanche Poulin and Florence Bernard.
