Auburn police said they have new information about the attempted holdup of Charles Asselyn, proprietor of Six Corners Store, last Wednesday night. It is believed the information will help identify a teenager, a youth about 19 years of age, who wielded a knife in the attempted holdup and fled the store when Asselyn threw a handful of coins into his face.
    
25 years ago, 1987
Harlan Trundy of Hebron and his son Philip of Buckfield were named by the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District as Outstanding Conservation Farmers in the county at the OCSWCD Annual Dinner Meeting Thursday night. In presenting the award, Vice Chairman Brad Phillips said the Trundys have milk production always at or near the top in the Dairy Herd Improvement Association.
