NORWAY — Downtown Norway will be the site for a collaborative Earth Day celebration on Sunday, April 22. The day will begin with a work party at the Alan Day Community Garden, 26 Whitman St., from 10 a.m. until noon.

An afternoon of live music, dance and puppetry will kick off at noon in the parking lot behind Main Street’s Fare Share Co-Op. Among those performing will be Trailer Trash, Jordan Kaulback, Marc Rodrigue, Doug Morgan, Eric
Grenier and A Bunch of Old Hippies. Dance troupes, Navaeh and the Gypsy Relics, will also entertain and Lindsay Dombeck will give a hoop performance.

A church supper of health-conscious selections made from local ingredients will be served at 5 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m., all are welcome to attend the church’s annual Earth Day Peace Concert, featuring performances by Heather Pierson, Davy Sturtevant, The Norway UU Choir and Mollyockett Chorus.

Cost is $7 for the supper, $5 for the concert;$10 for both. Proceeds will benefit the church’s belfry repair project. The church is at 479 Main St. For more information, call 743-2828 or email heather@heatherpierson.com.
