AUBURN — Rejane R. Asselin, 88, of Clover Manor, died Wednesday, April 18.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 23, 1923, a daughter of the late Fernand and Emelia Cote. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married June 9, 1943 to Normand V. Asselin, who died in 1996.

Mrs. Asselin was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church. She worked in the shoe industry, textile industry and at the Heartland Restaurant, prior to her retirement.

She enjoyed reading in the sun, bowling, bingo, playing cards and had a special love for the ocean and sun. Rejane will be remembered for her love of her children, her grandchildren her great and great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Monique Dubois and her husband, Marcel, of Morgan Hill, Calif.; a son, Larry Asselin and wife, Nancy, of Livermore; four grandchildren, Roxanne Dubois and husband, Doug Robinson, Nicole Dubois and husband, Scott Immel, Marcel Dubois and his fiance, Lorraine Townsend and Bill Asselin and wife, Jeannette; eight great-grandchildren, Melissa, Rebecca, Bradley, Brooke, Matthew, Benjamin, Timothy and Shayla; two great-great-grandchildren, Cloe Mae and Ella; and a sister, Merilla Hamilton of Fort Wayne, Ind.
