AUBURN – Skelton, Taintor & Abbott attorney Adam R. Lee was recently elected to the board of directors of the Lewiston Education Fund. The nonprofit organization was founded in 2002 to fund projects and programs that expand educational opportunities that may otherwise be unaffordable, foster creativity and enhance academic excellence in Lewiston’s public schools.

The fund’s mission is very much in line with Lee’s commitment to education and enriching possibilities for students. A skilled litigator who represents individuals, businesses and municipalities, Lee has shown his dedication to his community time and again by serving as a volunteer and mentor.

“Education — particularly creativity and innovation in education — are of paramount importance to me,” said Lee, who is committed to the development of a vibrant, diverse and intellectually and artistically enriched Lewiston and Auburn. “My mother was an ed tech and worked with the ESL program at my elementary school in Manchester, N.H. My fiancee Heidi McCarthy is an elementary music educator.”
