Auburn firefighter Zack Braband looks on as an Auburn police officer moves onlookers away from an SUV that flipped at Third and Roak streets Friday night. According to several witnesses at the scene, the drivers of two vehicles in the area were spinning their tires and racing around at about 6:30 p.m. before the vehicles collided. A young woman was briefly trapped inside the overturned Ford. The driver of the second vehicle, witnesses said, fled the scene. Later Friday night, police in both Lewiston and Auburn were searching for the suspect. The identities of those involved were not available.
