DIXFIELD — The 2012 Committee for the Dixfield Main Street Outdoor Market met recently to discuss current plans for the market which will be held Sunday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is a rain or shine event with a “block party” atmosphere.

Booths are lined up all along the street selling all kinds of foods, hand crafted items, collectibles, raffle tickets, memorabilia and local products such as maple syrup. Political parties are present along with groups raising money for local causes. There are plenty of spaces for all who wish to participate. Booth space, approximately 10 feet by 15 feet, is available for $15. Applications are available by calling 562-8816, 562-7066 or 562-7478. Register by June 30 to save a spot.

The River Valley Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual 5K road race that morning. Contact the chamber at 364-3241 for more information.

Ralph and Norine Clarke have agreed to help set up and plan the 2012 market. Committee members are Bob and Louise Richard, Bill DeVries, Bob Anderson, Deb Morang, Rita Giradin, Diane Carlton, Ralph and Norine Clarke and Al Bressette.
