Dirigo 11, Mountain Valley 5

DIXFIELD — Dirigo collected nine hits, including three home runs, to blast Mountain Valley 11-5 in MVC softball.

Tasha DeRoche and Alyssa Charity each had a pair of hits, including two-run homers. DeRoche also ripped a double. Alyssa Wade blasted a solo home run and a single for the Cougars (3-4). Ambyr Wilson got the victory fanning six Falcons.

Brooke Dolloff paced Mountain Valley (4-2) with three hits, including a single, double and home run. She also drove in three runs. Shannon Laubauskas contributed a pair of singles for the Falcons.

Leavitt 6, Belfast 2

TURNER —   Tori Zupancic and Adrie Newton had hits and Sarah Pare delivered a sacrifice to key a three-run first inning Monday, lifting Leavitt to a 6-2 KVAC softball win over Belfast.

Newton went four innings to secure the victory for the Hornets (6-1), Pare drove in two runs. Becca Leonard lashed out two of the five hits for the Lions (0-7).

Spruce Mtn. 13, Telstar 1

JAY —  Ashley Dorey belted out three hits and Lexi Deering had two, including a double, to power Spruce Mountain past Telstar, 13-1, in MVC softball.

Ashlee Quirrion and Cassidee Couture each contributed two hits for the Phoenix (4-3). Paula Despres struck out seven, walked three and allowed four hits over the six-inning route.

Jessica Dirago delivered the RBI and pitched a complete game for Telstar (2-3).

Monmouth 13, Wiscasset 1

MONMOUTH — Monmouth’s Reen Kahl cranked two doubles and limited Wiscasset to one hit over five innings, steering the undefeated Mustangs to a 13-1 MVC softball victory over Wiscasset.

Daisi Poole added two singles and Caroline Bonenfant tallied a two-run single for the Mustangs (5-0). Monmouth scored five runs in the second inning and seven in the fourth, taking advantage of seven Wiscasset errors.

Hannah Campbell cracked the lone hit for the Wolverines (2-4).

Oak Hill 16, Mt. View 4

WALES —  Oak Hill pounded out 14 hits and scored runs in all six innings, downing Mt. View 16-4 in KVAC Class B softball.

The Raiders (4-3) scored a pair of runs in each of the first two innings plating three more in the third building an 8-0 lead. Mt. View (0-8) closed the deficit to 9-4 entering the bottom of the fifth.

Oak Hill batters collected six hits with the first seven batters in their half of the inning to score five runs and pull away for a 10 run lead.

Alexis Priest had three hits including a double and a pair of RBIs in the victory. Alyssa Rouleau ripped two doubles while Kortni Michaud had a single, double, and two RBIs for the Raiders. Mt. View’s Alexis Fowler had three hits including a triple in the loss.

Freshman Sadie Goulet earned the victory for Oak Hill while Hailey Giggey took the loss.

Hall-Dale 15, Mt. Abram 7

SALEM — Hall-Dale exploded for nine runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally past Mt. Abram, 15-7, in MVC softball.

Morgan Rush and Carylanne Wolfington each had two hits for the Bulldogs (4-2). Megan Cope belted a triple. Rush picked up the win.

Mt. Abram held leads of 5-2 after two innings and 7-5 through five before Hall-Dale rallied.

Taylor Jordan had three of the 11 hits for the Roadrunners (2-4). Katie Jordan, Lily Taylor and Alex and Jill Howard added two hits apiece.

St. Dom’s 9, Winthrop 4

WINTHROP —  Senior Mary Caron broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning with a three-run homer to help lift St. Dom’s to a 9-4 victory over Winthrop in an MVC softball tilt.

The shortstop also added a double to go along with her home run. The Saints (2-4) took an early 3-0 lead before Winthrop scored three runs of their own in the third inning.

Cat Ouellette paced the Ramblers (2-3) with a double and a single. McKenna Lachapelle had a pair of singles for St. Dom’s. Sam Ladd earned the victory on the pitcher’s circle.

Oxford Hills 12, Mt. Ararat 0

TOPSHAM —   Senior short stop Breanna Martin had a pair of home runs and a double to power Oxford Hills to a 12-0 shutout victory over Mt. Ararat in KVAC baseball action Monday.

Martin also contributed three runs batted in and three runs scored for the Vikings (5-2).

Catcher Taylor Pare belted a double for one of the Eagles’ two hits.

Sacopee Valley 16, Buckfield 0

BUCKFIELD —   Ashley Pingree tossed a two-hit shutout as Sacopee Valley routed Buckfield 16-0 in softball action Monday.

The Bucks (2-4) committed 14 errors, many of which contributed to a 10-run third inning for the Hawks. Shelly Pelligrino chipped in with a double and single for Sacopee Valley.

Alannah Knox had a hit for Buckfield.

Skowhegan 13, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON —   Amanda Johnson recorded three hits and five RBIs as Skowhegan sailed to a 13-0 blanking of Mt. Blue in KVAC softball action Monday.

The Indians (4-3) put up 15 hits over six innings. Taylor Johnson had a pair of singles and a double, while Amanda Johnson had two doubles and a single for Skowhegan.

Lexi Howard pitched all six innings and fanned six batters for the Cougars (1-6).
