TURNER — Adrie Newton struck out eight batters and threw a no-hit shutout as Leavitt took advantage of a couple of errors and key hits to shake off Lincoln Academy with a 2-0 victory in a KVAC softball game Monday.
The Hornets (9-4) took a 1-0 lead when Emily Perkins singled, stole second and then scored on a throwing error to second base. Leavitt did the same thing in the fifth inning when Melissa Richardson lead off with a double and then came around for the Hornets’ second run on another overthrow to second base.
Dirigo 9, St. Dom’s 1
AUBURN — Tasha DeRoche clubbed doubles in the fifth and seventh innings to key four-run frames each time as Dirigo pulled away from St. Dom’s, 9-1, in MVC softball action Monday.
Alyssa Charity had three hits to lead the Cougars’ 11-hit attack. Megan Bradbury and Mariah Larsen chipped in with two hits apiece for Dirigo (7-6). Alyssa Wade scattered seven hits to pick up the win. Jaclyn Schmitz led the Saints (4-9) with two hits.
Oxford Hills 12, Lewiston 1
PARIS — Breanna Martin cracked two of Oxford Hills’ five extra base hits as part of a 17-hit barrage by the Vikings in a 12-1 victory over Lewiston in KVAC softball action Monday.
Martin (two doubles), Anna Winslow (triple), Ashley West and Crysta West (one double each) slugged extra base hits for the Vikings. (9-4). Ashley West had three hits to lead the offense, while Martin, Abby Bernier, Angel Witham and Haleigh Robinson chipped in with two hits apiece. Chloe Miller and Tori Denis each had a double for the Blue Devils (2-11).
Oak Hill 5, Winslow 2
WALES — Brianna Hodgkin smacked a one-run double in the fourth inning, helping direct Oak Hill to a 5-2 victory over Winslow (8-6) in a softball game Monday.
The Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and used just four hits and three key Winslow errors to come across with five runs.
Winning pitcher Kortni Michaud also doubled. The Raiders are now 8-6.
Gray-NG 4, Poland 2
POLAND — Alex Thompson recorded three hits to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 4-2 victory over Poland in WMC softball action Monday.
The Patriots (10-3) scored all four runs in the first frame.
Chaplin collected three strikeouts to pick up the win. Brittina Maheux had a triple for the Knights (7-6).
Winthrop 8,
Mountain Valley 6
RUMFORD — First baseman Danielle Pease collected a pair of hits, including a double, as Winthrop tumbled to an 8-6 victory over Mtn. Valley in MVC softball action Monday.
The Falcons (5-7) outhit their opponent 13-10, but committed seven errors along the way. Amy Belanger pitched all six innings to secure the mound win for the Ramblers (4-7).
Brooke Dolloff and Lindsay Marston had three hits each for Mtn. Valley.
Monmouth 2,
Hall-Dale 0
MONMOUTH — Reen Kahl retired all 21 batters she faced spinning a perfect game lifting Monmouth to a 2-0 victory over Hall-Dale in an MVC softball battle.
Kahl struck out 11 Hall-Dale (7-6) batters in her third no hitter of the season. Her counterpart, freshman Olivia Maynard was nearly unhittable allowing just one Monmouth (11-0) hit, an RBI double in the fourth to Sabrina Buck.
Fryeburg Academy 7, Lake Region 1
FRYEBURG — Carla Tripp tripled twice and scored three runs to lead Fryeburg Academy to a 7-1 victory over Lake Region Monday afternoon.
Maddie Pearson had a pair of hits driving in three runs for the Raiders (13-1). Sarah Harriman added two hits. Harriman also allowed just two hits while striking out 11. Lake Region (6-7) scored their only run in the third inning as Abby Craffey tripled and later scored on an infield error.
 Telstar 5, Lisbon 4
LISBON — Jessica Dirago fanned 13 Lisbon batters and Telstar held off a late rally to down the Greyhounds 5-2 in a MVC clash.
 Telstar led 5-0 through five innings paced by a pair of doubles from both Dirago and Rachel Wheeler. Wheeler and Tasha Faranem each had a pair of RBIs. Olivia Harrington and Chantel Bisson each had a pair of singles for Lisbon.

 Oxford Hills 22, Lincoln 3
 SOUTH PARIS — Senior midfielder Danielle Allen netted six goals as nine different players found the back of the net as Oxford Hills smudged Lincoln, 22-3, in girls lacrosse.
 The Vikings (7-3) built a 15-2 lead at the half against winless Lincoln (0-9). Juniors Amanda Hanning and Joanna Merch each tallied three goals apiece. Senior Jillian Jacobs made the switch from defense to tally a pair of goals. Audrey Komulainen turned away 10 shots in net for Oxford Hills. Sally Gardner-Smith had a pair of goals for Lincoln (0-9).
Edward Little 20,
Mountain Valley 7
AUBURN — Senior attack win Gabby LaPerriere netted an impressive five goals to lead Edward Little to a 20-7 victory over Mtn. Valley in KVAC girls’ lacrosse action Monday.
The Red Eddies (5-5) took a 12-5 halftime lead. Kate Sawyer added four goals for Edward Little.
Senior forward Ayla Allen tallied a team-high four goals for the Falcons (3-7).
Goalie Jordan True made 14 saves for Mtn. Valley, while goalie Paige Landry turned back four to earn the win in net for Edward Little.
