AUBURN — Maureen Catherine Myrick, 75, of 25 Carson St., Auburn, died Saturday, May 19,surrounded by her family at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.

She was born in Lowell, Mass., Aug. 14, 1936, the daughter of Joseph and Catherine O’Dea Michael. Educated in Lowell, and Auburn, schools, she was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1954, and attended CMG School of Nursing.

On May 4, 1957, she married Arthur Harry Myrick and they made their home in Auburn. For 17 years, she worked as an operator and supervisor for New England Telephone and Telegraph Co., but truly enjoyed working for several years as a receptionist and medical assistant for Drs. John James and Fred Lidstone. She also worked at St. Mary’s Hospital and Poland Health Clinic.

She loved gathering with family and friends at Old Orchard Beach, Taber’s, and Roy’s. She became Nana to everyone with her selflessness and love for children.

A member of Sacred Heart Church, she is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Harry, of Auburn; a son, Joseph Myrick and wife, Maureen A., of Lewiston; two daughters, Catherine Roberts-Morin and husband, Michael, of Auburn and Susan Martins and husband, John, of Auburn; three brothers, Robert Michael and wife, Diann, of Pine Bush, N.Y., Daniel Michael and wife, Patrice, of West Dennis, Mass., and Tom Coulombe and wife, Patti, of Minot; five grandchildren, Jake Roberts, Elizabeth Morin, Katie and Matthew Myrick, and Nicholas Fess; and several nieces and nephews.
