The People’s United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People’s United Bank, has given $3,000 to the Trinity Jubilee Center. The center’s mission is to help the underserved people of the Lewiston-Auburn area by collaborating with local, state and federal organizations. Since its beginning in 1991, the center has assisted thousands of individuals and families by providing services that include meals, a food pantry, warming center, refugee assistance and outreach. The $3,000 grant will support the center’s Refugee Assistance Program, according to center Executive Director Kim Wettlaufer. From left are Samuel A. Ladd, an officer of the People’s United Community Foundation and president of People’s United Bank’s Southern Maine Division; Wettlaufer; and Ryan Smith, senior vice president of Commercial Banking for People’s United Bank.
