AUBURN – Community Little Theatre’s Summer Youth Music Theater Project will take place in June and July at Great Falls Performing Arts Center. The four-week summer program is designed for students who have completed grades 3 through 8. Vincent Ratsavong will direct the program.

A call-out/organizational meeting will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16. Rehearsals will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 to noon, beginning June 18. There will be only two rehearsals during the Fourth of July week, on July 2 and 3. At least two public performances of “Once On This Island, Jr.” are scheduled for Friday, July 13, and Saturday, July 14.

The popular program has been very well attended for many years, with involvement of almost 40 participants last summer. The project’s curriculum will include the following: audition training, improvisation, musical and choreography training, theater games and a full-scale musical production at the conclusion.

The director will build and work with a team of adults and older youth to conduct the intensive program and produce a successful musical production, with choreography, sets, lighting, sound and costumes. It is required that all children participating are able to be fully engaged in the program and attend all sessions.

For more information or to sign up, write to info@laclt.com or call 783-0958. Applications will be accepted until the program is full. The cost is $150 per actor.
