WATERFORD — The weekend of June 1 and 2 the Waterford World’s Fairgrounds will be abuzz with a fundraiser of camping, a motorcycle ride and two passes to the dance on Saturday night with the Rockin Roadrunners.

For two nights of camping, a bonfire with social time Friday night, a motorcycle ride starting at 10 a.m. from the fairgrounds and going up to Evans Notch and back through Bethel, and two passes to the dance, the charge will be $40.

The Fair Food Shack will be open all day Saturday with hamburg, hot dogs, french fries, soda and some homemade desserts and the Ice Cream Shop will be open for soft serve cones for $1 each. The money raised will go toward a new freezer for the Ice Cream Shop.

After the motorcycle ride on Saturday there will be a bike wash for $3.

Check -in time on Friday will be 3 p.m. and check-out will be 11 a.m. on Sunday.

To go on the bike ride, without camping, the fee will be $10. The dance will be $10 per person if not camping for the weekend. For more info or to make reservations contact Penny Hill at 461-5466.

The fairgrounds has many new improvements, including the new ATV and antique tractor pulling track, the food shop that has been added to the livestock office, the new surface on the show ring, the area where the camping will be and the door and window that have been added to the secretary office, among others.
