BOWDOINHAM — The body of a missing canoeist from Portland was found shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Channel 6 news reported Sunday that Sgt. Daniel White with the Maine Marine Patrol confirmed that the body of 32-year-old Santana Dubon had been located. Dubon went missing Saturday night after the canoe he was in with two other people capsized on the Cathance River in Bowdoinham near the Route 24 bridge.
The news channel reported Dubon was in the canoe with two relatives, who made it to shore safely. Teams searched for Dubon from the air and water until midnight Sunday and resumed efforts at 5 a.m. that morning.
