LEWISTON — State Sen. Margaret Craven, D-Lewiston, and other members of the the Lewiston legislative delegation will host a public forum Monday, June 11, at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center from 6 to 8 p.m. The focus will be on changes to Maine law that were enacted during the recent legislative session.

“There were a lot of critical changes to the law this last session that will affect many aspects of Maine life, including health care, drugs for the elderly, education, veterans’ services and a host of others,” Craven said. “I’d really like to encourage people to come and ask questions. I’d hate to see them surprised when the laws take effect.”

Craven will speak about changes to health and human services. Rep. Margaret Rotundo will address changes in the budget. Rep. Richard Wagner will talk about changes in education. Rep. Michael Carey will speak about changes in veterans services and election law. And Rep. Michel Lajoie will highlight changes in criminal law.

The session will be in the Senior Room at the Lewiston Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.
