PARIS — Lit Pics will be held at noon each Monday, from June 18 through Aug. 13, at the Paris Public Library.

Those attending the literature picnics should bring a lunch, drink and blanket. All ages are welcome.

Attendance minutes can be used on summer reading logs for Paris Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge. Self-select color, cut and paste activities will be available after the readings for those who wish to participate.

June 18 through July 23 “Great New Reads,” as recommended by the Maine Library Association, will be followed by a companion story.

June 18: Chinese Folktales and Greed.

June 25: Jane Goodall; Child and Adult.

July 2: Maine and Icelandic Puffins.

July 9: Swedish Real Life Super Heroes.

July 16: Friendship.

July 23: Patterns in Nature.

July 30 through Aug. 13: Silly Read-a-Louds will be held.

July 30: “Mucky Moose” by Jonathan Allen and “Moose on the Loose” by Kathy-jo Wargin.

Aug. 6: “The Gruffalo” by Julia Donaldson, “Boy + Bot” by Dyckman & Yaccarino, and “Two Good Friends” by Judy & Maestro.

Aug. 13: ?Hey, Little Ant by Hoose” and “Tilley and Hooway for Wodney Wat” by Lester & Munsinger.
