HEBRON — The Hebron Academy Parents’ Association will host the school’s annual “Green Sweep” garage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Robinson Arena, Route 119. The event is free and open to the public.

“Each year we have items left in the dorms that students either cannot or do not want to take back home,” said “Green Sweep” Coordinator Debi Hews, a Hebron parent.

“This is our chance to recycle unwanted, reusable items and, at the same time, turn them into funds to help support on-campus student programs. We are delighted to have the local community join our efforts,” she said.

Items for sale include sports equipment, clothing, books and dorm room necessities such as bedding, lamps and alarm clocks.

The “Green Sweep” sale continues the “green” theme of campus activity, as students and staff increase their efforts to reduce paper use, conserve resources and increase recycling.

The Parents’ Association will donate items remaining after the sale to local charities.
