The Lisbon Historical Society hosted speaker, Charles Anthony Sr., Durham, talking on “The Life and History of the Scottish Kilt.” The event included period artifacts and a demonstration on how and why accessories were worn to depict different meanings. Madeline Judkins received a Rob Roy Style Sporran, made and donated by Anthony, for wearing Scottish attire. Anthony is pictured with Sue Poliquin. Refreshments were served. The society, located at the MTM Center, 18 School St., Lisbon Falls, meets on the second Wednesday at 7 p.m. Meetings are free and open to the public.
