The Legal Services for the Elderly Board of Directors voted unanimously to award the firm of Isaacson & Raymond the 2012 Legal Services for the Elderly Pro Bono Champion of Justice Award. This annual award was created to recognize individual lawyers, law firms, and other institutions in the legal profession that have enhanced the independence and human dignity of Maine’s seniors by improving or delivering volunteer legal services to Maine’s low income elderly. Attorneys Laurier T. Raymond, Jr., Shane T. Wright and Daniel A. D’Auteuil Jr. serve on LSE’s pro bono and reduced-fee panel. In the past two years, these three have provided assistance to 22 low income seniors. Marilyn Gugliucci, Ph.D., a member of the board of directors of the Legal Services for the Elderly presents D’Auteuil with the plaque recognizing the law firms’s commitment.
