LIVERMORE FALLS — Police arrested a Winthrop man Thursday morning on warrants after charging him with pulling down a town flower pot.

Shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of a young man taking the decorative flowers and pot down from a Main Street pole.

Sgt. Stephen Allen found Michael Hall, 23, of Winthrop and two other people with him a short distance away on Church Street, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

Hall was intoxicated and admitted he was “just being stupid” when he took the flowers and pot, Steward said. Police discovered there was more than one warrant for his arrest, Steward said.

Hall was charged with criminal mischief by summons and was arrested on the warrants.
